FAQ

What are tiered progressive rates?

Korea uses a system where the per-kWh price increases with usage. Tier 1 (up to 200 kWh) is 120 KRW/kWh, while Tier 3 (over 400 kWh) is 307.3 KRW/kWh — about 2.5× more.

Do rates change by season?

KEPCO may apply seasonal surcharges in summer and winter. This calculator uses standard rates. Check KEPCO's website for seasonal details.

Why might my actual bill differ?

TV license fees, welfare discounts, and seasonal surcharges are not included. Use this as an estimate.
